The Beginning (1810–1910)

In 1810, a Marwadi business family from the Nagaur district of Rajasthan migrated to Hyderabad and established their food trade. They began by dealing in jaggery and soon became a well-known name in the food products business. Over the next century, their reputation for honesty and quality earned them significant success.

Expansion into Spices

After gaining recognition, the family expanded their business from jaggery to spices. They worked as mercantile commission agents, trading jaggery from Northern India to Southern India, and spices from Southern India to Northern India. This inter-regional trade continued successfully for three decades
